80th Anniversary Concerts - Mahler Symphony No. 8
|
In 2013 Zelman Symphony will celebrate its 80th Anniversary, with two performances of Mahler's epic Eighth Symphony - Symphony of a Thousand.
We will have over 600 performers on stage, including a choir of over 400, a children's choir of 80, eight of Australia’s leading opera singers as soloists, the magnificent organ and an orchestra of 120.
We are proud to bring this rarely performed work to the public, and involve many of Melbourne's community choirs, community orchestral musicians and invited professional musicians, many of whom have performed with us in the past.
