Brahms and Beethoven

To finish a wonderful year for Zelman Symphony we have invited one of Australia's most renowned musicians to join us in a program of iconic works of great power and beauty. Pianist Ben Martin will perform the First Piano Concerto of Brahms.

Ben and Brahms will be joined by Beethoven when the orchestra hurls itself into the power and life-affirming joy of his Fifth Symphony. Be prepared for a night of beauty and irresistible energy.

The concert will also feature the premiere performance of We All Fly Blind by the 2013 Zelman Symphony Melbourne University Emerging Composer, Andrew Batterham.

Mark Shiell will present a pre-concert talk in the auditorium commencing 7.30pm.
