Donations of $2.00 or more to Zelman Symphony are now tax-deductible.

We Filled The Gap!

When we bought our timpani in the late 1980s, we managed to purchase three but couldn’t afford the 28-inch model. Since then, that has made it difficult for our timpanists to efficiently cover the full range of notes in the repertoire.

We've recently completed this project, with the purchase of a new timpano, so thank you to all our donors.

The Donations Fund

Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra Inc. is a non-profit association. We receive no government funding.

Ticket revenue provides only a portion of our overall operating budget, and the remainder comes from player memberships, sponsorships and dividends from several past bequests.

Zelman Symphony is listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations, and has formed the Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra Donations Fund which is able to accept donations to support the orchestra. Donations of $2.00 or more to this fund are tax deductible. The orchestra is also registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

Any donation you can make, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. Your gift will be used to fund musical instruments, music scores and stage equipment to enhance our performances, ensuring Zelman Symphony continues to benefit the community and offer valuable performance opportunities to local performers.

To Donate

Donations can be made securely online via, a giving portal supporting Australian not-for-profit organisations.

You can also make a donation as you are buying tickets via TryBooking, by using the Other Events link at the shopping cart after you have selected your tickets.
