Reserved Seating and Ticket Booking - 2018

All tickets for our concerts at Eldon Hogan Performing Arts Centre, Xavier College, and at Camberwell Grammar School, will be for reserved seats.

You will be able to reserve the seats you want:

  • On-line via our web site paying by credit card
  • By phone paying by credit card - via our ticketing volunteer number 03 8899 7445
  • By mail paying by cheque

You will also be able to buy reserved seats at the box office paying cash prior to each concert providing seats are still available. However, the best seats will be taken by earlier bookings.

We use the event booking system. Like the orchestra, this company is based in the inner-east of Melbourne. Your credit card statement will indicate that TryBooking is the merchant, not Zelman Symphony. TryBooking charge a small, non-refundable fee (30 cents per seat) for their services.

Ticketing arrangements for other concerts will be posted once available.

Booking Methods

On-line via our web site paying by credit card

Please visit the Zelman Symphony website. A link to the booking system will be available on the home page and on the specific concert pages when the booking system is open. The system will be closed at 5pm prior to our evening concerts.

  • You will be able to select the exact seats that you want, and pay for them with your Visa or Mastercard. American Express cards can also be used, but there is an additional 1.1% surcharge.
  • You will need to supply an email address, to which the tickets and a receipt will be sent.
  • You will need to be able to print the tickets on a standard A4 colour or black&white printer.

Note that you can buy seats to multiple concerts in one transaction — once you have selected your seats for the first concert and are at the TryBooking "Shopping Cart" page, press Other Events near the bottom, and you will see the other concerts we have available for booking. You can then proceed to book seats for those concerts as well.

If you have any problems with printing tickets, please email or call us on 03 8899 7445 and we will arrange to have them printed and made available for collection at the box office.

By Phone paying by credit card

Please call us on 03 8899 7445. A volunteer will take your call and make the transaction via TryBooking on your behalf. Phone bookings will close the evening of the day before each concert.

  • You will be able to select seats in consultation with the volunteer (see the diagram below).
  • Payment will be using Mastercard, Visa or AMEX only. Note that AMEX payments will be subject to a 1.1% surcharge.
  • Tickets can be delivered three ways:

    • made available for collection at the box office.

If your call is not answered, please leave a message and we will call you back.

By Mail paying by cheque

Fill in the printable online form with your ticket order, or write a letter with your name, address, number and type of tickets, and preferred seating position, and mail it to the orchestra with your cheque to PO Box 408, Kew East, 3102.

  • You will be able to indicate your preferred seating position (see the diagram below). You will be allocated seats as close as possible to this position.
  • Payment is by cheque made out to Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra Inc.
  • Tickets can be delivered two ways:
    • mailed to you (postal address required - please allow 10 days for order processing and for the tickets to be mailed to you. Tickets will not be posted after the Monday before the concert, and will instead be made available at the box office.);
    • made available for collection at the box office.

Box Office Purchases

The box office will be open prior to each concert at 7.15pm for ticket sales and collections.

Transactions will be strictly cash or cheque only. As reserved seats will still need to be purchased, please expect this to take a little longer than in the past.

Wheelchair Spaces

Several spaces are available for audience using wheelchairs. If you require one of these spaces, please ensure it is booked as early as possible, and not later than a week before the concert, so the seats in these positions can be removed.

If you wish to use your Companion Card, please Mail or call us so we can issue your companion with a free seat adjacent to your wheel chair location.

Reservation of Tickets

We regret that we cannot reserve seats without prior payment.

Important Information

Please note we are aware of ticket printing problems with old internet browsers especially Internet Explorer 6 and earlier. We recommend that you use a modern web browser to purchase online.

We will not post tickets in the mail less than five days before a concert. Such tickets will be made available for collection at the box office prior to the concert.

Please note that children of all ages require a ticket.
